It must surely strengthen the argument for vaccination of men, both for their own protection, and that of their partners.” Dr. Anne Szarewski of the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine in London commenting on a recent study that says that perhaps as many as 50% of men are carriers of the human papillomavirus or HPV.

“I don’t think you could have a greater sense of urgency. We all know what the calendar is, and we all know what’s at stake for everybody. And that’s why we’re here. We’re going to be here as long as it takes and work as hard as we can work to get something done.” Jeff Pash, the NFL’s lead labor negotiator trying to work out a deal that will avoid a lockout by the NFL owners, which would more than likely led to a stopage of play this fall.

“Churches do not realize the fight they’re in. If you go into a commercial district, they say you’re wrecking their tax base. If you go into residential, they say you’re disturbing their peace.” Richard Baker, an attorney who is representing a church in Burbank Illinois that has already paid $900,000 for an old restaurant for the purpose of transforming it into a church. However, since signing the contract the city has passed a zoning law saying churches cannot build in commercial property zones.
