 Mac: PDFScanner

There are many applications for Mac OS X that allow scanning of images or text. Most of them are however complex, slow or not really suited for scanning documents or letters. PDFScanner has been created with one simple task in mind: Scanning and archiving documents as quick and easy as possible, and making them findable with Spotlight search.

Win: FreeOCR

FreeOCR is a free Optical Character Recognition Software for Windows and supports scanning from most Twain scanners and can also open most scanned PDF’s and multi page Tiff images as well as popular image file formats. FreeOCR outputs plain text and can export directly to Microsoft Word format.

I think there’s a general feeling that there are already enough churches. In short, if you are going to launch a new church, you have to start with a white hot, differentiated, compelling vision, or why take up more real estate? Why not just go join one on the corner of Elm and Vine? Half of them are empty these days anyway, so why don’t you go take over their property as opposed to starting yet another one? So thinking about that and how to craft that vision would be quite important to me.

It’s definitely indicating that the immune system is compromised in some way. It’s unable at that time, for whatever reason, in this case loneliness perhaps, to keep that virus under control.
