Dr. Armiger served as General Superintendent of The Wesleyan Church from 1997-2011. A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and Nazarene Theological Seminary, he was ordained in 1979, later completing his doctor of ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary. His career has included service as a local church pastor, as a denominational executive in the General Department of Student Ministries, and as superintendent of the Virginia (now Shenandoah) District. He has been married to Vangie for 37 years. Together they have three boys Joshua, Jonathan, Jeremy.
